Our activities

Rentals
MAISON DEUX is an agency for rental holiday-homes in France, especially the "Région" AUVERGNE with its departments Allier, Puy de Dôme (with the eastern area Livradois separately mentioned), Haute Loire and Cantal. We also offer you holiday-homes in the adjacent departments: Haute Vienne, Corrèze, Lot, Aveyron, Ardèche, Lozère, Gard and Pyrénées-Orientales. Finally we offer you some special objects, like two castles.

Buying/Selling
Because we are regularly dealing with buying and selling of holiday-homes we are connected to 2 well-known real-estate agencies in Auvergne. Feel free to contact us for further information.

Travel insurances
To complete your holidays we offer you as the representative for the insurance company "Europeesche Verzekeringen" a cancellation insurance.

How to use the website

The structure of the website is kept simple and aims to get all information of holiday-homes as quickly as possible. Click in the INDEX Holiday-homes and via the FAST SEARCH page or MORE SEARCH OPTIONS you get a list of selected holiday-homes. Then by clicking on one of the selected holiday-homes you get a detailed description, including pictures, prices and conditions. Finally there is the possibility to store up to 5 selected holiday-homes in a memory, called: Your Selection.

General Terms and Conditions

The rules for renting holiday-homes are laid down in the General Terms and Conditions.

Validity

The offer of holiday-homes, prices and conditions are valid for the year 2004.


General information about holiday-homes.


Ranking/House-codes
The holiday-homes are arranged to the various departments, with the "Parc Régional du Livradois Forez" (Livradois) added as a special large area, the South Eastern
part of the Puy de Dôme:
A = Allier Lo = Lot
P = Puy de Dôme Av = Aveyron
L = Livradois Ar = Ardèche
HL = Haute Loire Lz = Lozère
C = Cantal Ga = Gard
HV = Haute Vienne He = Hérault
Co = Corrèze PO = Pyrénées-Orientales

and then to areas around a city or a lake.

Schoolholidays
In the period/price summary sometimes a special price is mentioned for schoolholidays. This will mean, outside normal summerholidays, the French holidayperiods!
These holidayperiods are as follow:

23/12-5/1 2006/2007


"Plan d'eau"
A "plan d'eau" is mostly a constructed lake suited for swimming and water-biking; depending of the seize of the "plan d'eau" there may be other aquatic sports possible.

Mobile phone
In some mountainous areas of France it is not possible to use a mobile phone.

Arrival and Departure
Arrival time is on Saturday between 4 and 6 p.m. Departure time is on Saturday before 10 a.m. Different arrival/departure times should be timely announced to the caretaker.

Inventory
All holiday-homes have always the following facilities:
- a fully fitted kitchen with a fridge.
- toilet, bathroom with bath or shower.
- garden-furniture, but not always a parasol.

Animals
In each house-description is indicated if pets are allowed. If so it is restricted to one pet only.

Linen
All holiday-homes have blankets or duvets. You have to take with you; blankets, covers, pillow-cases and towels.

Additional costs
In general heating costs are excluded. Mainly electrical heating. Additional costs are:
Cleaning:
On departure the house must be left in a proper state. In case the cleaning doesn't meet general acceptable standards, additional costs will be charged by the caretaker. In some cases the final cleaning can be bought off.
Deposit:
In most cases a deposit has to be paid. On departure the deposit will be repaid after deduction of charges, if any.
Tourist tax (taxes de séjour):
In some places these taxes are imposed. The charges are per person per day and the amount depends on local regulations.

All additional costs has to be settled with the caretaker.

Special attention!
Many holiday-homes in the country have their own biological discharge system.
Therefore never use chemical products for cleaning toilets, waste baskets etc. It will destroy the biological process. Possible damages will be charged to the tenant.
